Luskentyre Light
Luskentyre Light uses Intentional camera movement to capture the beauty of the Isle of Harris' Luskentyre beach in Winter. I used a slow shutter speed and a panning movement to capture the stunning expanse of sand and sea.

Dalmore Tide
With Dalmore Tide I use long camera exposure and slow shutter speed, coupled with a slight camera shake, to depict the calming and peaceful nature of Dalmore Beach Isle of Lewis. This photograph was my first I took to really showcase my personal interpretation of the landscape and my connection to it. ⠀

Solstice at Reef
Solstice at Reef is taken on Reef beach, Isle of Lewis. Reef beach is a stunning expanse of white sand, dunes and striking deep blue sea. Across from the shore is a couple small islands. It's these features that allowed me to create such depth with layers.

Spirit of Seilebost
Spirit of Seilebost is a fantastic example of taking some artistic liberty with the colours and yet still accurately representing a place. Seilebost beach, Isle of Harris, is a view of magic and majesty. Every time I see it it looks like a new view, complete with new colour palette and dynamic intricacies.

Bosta Headland
Bosta Headland is a composite image of five intentional camera movement images, taken from the headland above and across, Bosta beach. This is one of my favourite images as I feel it truthfully captures the dynamic and windswept nature of this wild place.

Storm Approaching Reef
Storm Approaching Reef, though subtle, depicts the peaceful solitude and ever-changing nature of our rain sodden beaches in fleeting moments of calm and still.

Bosta Blue
Bosta Blue aims to depict the solid, ancient yet tide-swept stone structures that juxtapose the otherwise gentle sandy beach. The islands beyond Bosta's shore and it's cliffs feel almost Jurassic and towering, yet the beach cradled amongst it is the epitome of peace.

Fading Dalmore
Fading Dalmore, though similar to Dalmore Tide, has less emphasis on the movement or nostalgia and more so on creating a feeling of serenity and connection.

Seilebost Evening Tide
When the tide is out on Seilebost, except a few pockets of tide pools, the beach is an impressive expanse of white sand and seaweed. This expanse is fantastic for catching the light of a pink sunset sky.

Summer Seilebost Hues
On the sunniest and most tropical summer days in Harris, Seilebost beach can appear to be awash with a rainbow of colours and charm. Using the aproaching tide, it's reflection and the warm tones of bright sunlight, here is my interperetation of Seilebost when you've been lucky enough to have such lovely weather.

Harris Headland

Threads of Silver
Threads of Silver was taken on the moors above Mangersta beach, Isle of Lewis. The landscape here is rugged and untamed, swathes of silver gneiss rocks and boulders litter a wasteland of wet, thick bog. I used the ever brightening foreground, midground and background colours to pull the eye across the image, as well as jittery panning to depict the wild and blustery view before me.
